Identity Statement

An interdisciplinary community in partnership with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where people come to evolve regardless of where they are on their vocational path.

We create opportunities for Vanderbilt Divinity students as well as activists, chaplains, clergy, nonprofit leaders, public theologians, lay leaders, and anyone who sees theological engagement as a pathway for changing the world.

Core Values

INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY – We commit to cultivating a community and providing space that lives out our values and mission in how we connect, prepare, and equip faith leaders for their vocational path.

JUSTICE – We seek to establish and nurture right relationships between individuals and communities that reflect the love of God and love of neighbor while engaging dfferences with curiosity and care.

EDUCATION – We maintain our partnership with Vanderbilt Divinity School and seek to provide opportunities that expand beyond theclassroom by providing enriched educational experiences for students and those seeking continuing education, certifications, or additional training to support their vocational paths.

VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT– We nurture current and future faith leaders as they explore ordained and non-traditional roles of ministry that build on their strengths and interests while challenging them to live fully into God’s call.

ECUMENICAL PARTNERSHIP – Ecumenical partnership reflects our commitment to unity in Christ. By building relationships across denominations, we share in God’s mission together, strengthen the witness of the Church, and model reconciliation in a divided world.

DIVERSITY – Trusting that God’s abundance is greater than our scarcity we value the many ways the divine is present through the engagement and invitation of diverse voices, peoples, and experiences.

LIFELONG CONNECTIONS – Lifelong connections are rooted in our shared experiences and learning that extend beyond our time together.
