May 12th: “Artificial Intelligence and the Church: Understanding the Technology, Its Promise, and Its Perils.”

Artificial intelligence is already shaping the social, economic, and cultural life of our communities. Yet many faith leaders are still asking a basic question: What exactly is it, and why does it matter for the church? This introductory webinar provides a clear overview of artificial intelligence—what it is, how it works, and the kinds of tasks it can perform. Participants will explore the growing influence of AI across education, media, healthcare, and religious institutions.

Designed for clergy, ministry leaders, lay leaders, and theological students, this conversation offers a grounded introduction that equips participants to engage AI thoughtfully and responsibly.

May 13th: “From Curiosity to Competence: Using Artificial Intelligence in Ministry.“

Once faith leaders understand what artificial intelligence is, the next question becomes practical: How can these tools be used responsibly in ministry? This hands-on webinar moves from awareness to application by introducing participants to several widely used AI platforms and demonstrating how they can support the everyday work of the church.

Participants will learn how AI can assist with sermon preparation, educational materials, administrative tasks, communication strategies, and creative ministry planning. The session will include demonstrations of major AI platforms and practical examples of prompts and workflows that clergy and ministry leaders can use immediately.
